Hello and welcome to my teaching with technology website. My name is Scott Nossen (or Mr. Nossen if you’re a student) and I am currently working through my Graduate Teaching Certificate at Appalachian State University. I’m working towards teaching English Language Arts at the middle school level and I’m very excited to get teaching. Reading and writing have always been passions of mine, both hobbies and my area of study during undergrad (I have a BA in literature with an emphasis in creative writing from the University of California at Santa Cruz). In particular, I’m excited to teach middle grades because that’s such an exciting time in a young person’s life; so many new people, new experiences, and new opportunities. It will be a privilege to bring my insight and enthusiasm for literature into students’ lives.
